You mentioned that your mother’s painting inspired your own dreams of becoming an artist. Can you share a specific memory or moment when you knew that art was your calling?

My journey into the world of art truly began when I was just 12 years old, taking my first steps in my mother’s enchanting painting studio, “Atelier de Palermo.” Growing up, I was immersed in the world of art, observing her create masterpieces with each brushstroke. While it started as a hobby, art has been a constant companion in my life. It wasn’t until after I completed my education in Industrial Design, worked at the innovative Kreo design studio, and ventured into the realms of fashion design and catalog production that I realized my true calling lay in the world of art. Transforming my lifelong passion into my profession has been an immensely fulfilling journey.

You’ve explored various artistic styles throughout your career. Can you tell us about one style or technique that had a significant impact on your artistic journey?

Throughout my artistic journey, I’ve ventured into numerous styles and techniques, allowing me to experience the vast spectrum of creative expression. However, it was during my time in Miami that I was able to bring together all the knowledge I had acquired and fuse it into the unique technique I’m currently working on. This particular method allows me to seamlessly blend figurative and abstract elements with elements of relief, resulting in a harmonious amalgamation. I am deeply passionate about my work, and with each new piece, I continue to be surprised and inspired.

Running the “Atelier de Palermo” workshop in Argentina sounds like a significant part of your career. What did you enjoy most about teaching others the art of painting?

Teaching at the “Atelier de Palermo” workshop has been a heartwarming experience for me, especially as I began my own artistic journey there as a child. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching primarily children, and it has been nothing short of inspiring to witness their boundless creativity unfold before my eyes.

Omar Martino has been a mentor and continues to serve as your mentor. Could you share some valuable lessons or insights you’ve gained from him that have shaped your artistic approach?

I still vividly recall my initial interactions with Omar Martino, my mentor. At the time, I was creating small landscapes with intricate details. However, his guidance encouraged me to break free from my preconceived notions and embrace a larger canvas with a more fluid approach. Under his tutelage, I explored various techniques, allowing me to experiment and ultimately find my own artistic path. His mentorship has been invaluable in shaping my artistic approach and helping me evolve as an artist.

Your current body of work is a fusion of diverse techniques. Can you describe how these various techniques come together in your art, and what message or emotions you aim to convey through them?

My current body of work is the culmination of many years of artistic exploration and experimentation. This new technique I’ve developed is both impactful and uniquely my own—a fresh perspective that encapsulates my artistic identity. In my work, I seek to capture the essence of nature, seamlessly blending different materials, colors, and layers of complexity and simplicity. Through this fusion, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and connection to the natural world.

Your distinctive 3D technique and exploration of nature in your artwork are truly unique. What led you to develop this particular style, and what do you hope viewers take away from your work?

The development of my distinctive 3D technique and my exploration of nature in my artwork were born from years of exploration, experimentation, and inner reflection. During a period when I couldn’t paint due to my family’s relocation, my emotions and experiences found their expression when I finally had the time and space to create. The reception of this technique by people has been overwhelmingly positive. Through my work, I hope viewers can experience a profound connection with nature and find inspiration in the harmonious blend of materials and forms.

Balancing the roles of being an artist and a mother is undoubtedly challenging. Can you share some strategies or insights into how you manage to excel in both aspects of your life?

Balancing the roles of an artist and a mother is indeed a demanding endeavor, but it’s one that I embrace with love and dedication. The key to my success in managing both aspects lies in my deep passion for both motherhood and painting. Each aspect of my life has its unique place, and organization is essential. Motherhood, with all its intensity and joy, fuels my creativity, and in turn, my art grounds and fulfills me. It’s about finding the right balance and cherishing every moment in both roles.

Achieving commercial success and gaining recognition in the competitive art world can often prove elusive for many talented artists. What, in your opinion, distinguishes your work from others?

I attribute the recognition and acclaim my work has received to the innovative and unique technique I’ve developed, which has garnered significant attention and acceptance within the art world. When an artist manages to distinguish themselves, or when their work stands out as something truly exceptional, it naturally draws recognition and applause. My commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and creating something extraordinary has played a pivotal role in my journey towards achieving commercial success and gaining recognition in various publications.
